Shah Rukh Khan has wrapped up the shooting of his upcoming film "Chennai Express", which is slated to get released on 9 August.
"Shooting for Chennai Exp wraps. About 18 hrs non stop. My feet feel big and thus the World smaller...I can walk around it into the dawn now," Shah Rukh tweeted on micro-blogging site Twitter.
Directed by Rohit Shetty, "Chennai Express" is an action-comedy film about a Mumbai-based man who falls in love with a Tamil woman on his way to Rameswaram. The film was initially scheduled to release on 8 August, but the makers have delayed it by a day.
"Chennai Express" has Deepika Padukone playing the female lead. Some of the popular south actors including Sathyaraj, Manorama and Priya Mani are part of the film. The film's songs composed by Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani are already topping the musical charts.
The commercial entertainer is jointly produced by Gauri Khan, Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur.
Lungi Dance
Earlier, there were reports that Shah Rukh and Honey Singh have teamed up to do a song as a tribute to southern superstar Rajinikanth, which would be a part of "Chennai Express". But the film's music composers refuted the reports and said they have not roped in Honey Singh for any song.
However, Shah Rukh on Saturday confirmed that he will be part of a special song titled "Thalaivar Tribute" (Lungi Dance) which will be a tribute to Rajinikanth. The song is composed and sung by Honey Singh. Deepika Padukone has also joined Shah Rukh for this song, as both the actors are huge fans of the superstar.
"I found it very apt for Rajni sir and wanted to be a part of it as a fan of one of the greatest actors we have. Deepika, on my request, happily agreed to be a part of the song because even she is a huge fan of Rajni sir. The song is fun, happy and completely Rajnikanth Style!," Shah Rukh was quoted as saying by the Press Trust of India.
However, the song will not be part of "Chennai Express".
