And the presence of other celebs, politicians and socialites are a must for these Bollywood weddings. 

However, there are a few celebs, including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan and many others, who got married even before they became famous.

Dharmendra

Dharmendra became a star after the release of his film "Phool Aur Patthar" in 1966. However, he had married Prakash Kaur in 1954 and later tied the knot with his "Sholay" co-star Hema Malini in 1980.

Shashi Kapoor

The veteran actor from the Kapoor family married English actress Jennifer Kendal in Calcutta in 1956. Though he began his acting career as a child artist in 1948, he rose to fame after his role in "Dharamputra" (1961). 

Raj Kapoor

The legend began his acting career as a child actor in 1935, but was recognised after his 1947 movie "Neel Kamal". He married distant relative Krishna Kapoor in 1940 .

Dimple Kapadia

Dimple married actor Rajesh Khanna six month before the release of her debut film "Bobby" in 1973. 

Anil Kapoor

Umesh Mehra's "Hamare Tumhare", released in 1979, was Anil Kapoor's debut film, but he became a familiar face in the industry only after the release of "Mashaal" in 1984. By that time, he had married Sunita Kapoor.

Aamir Khan

Bollywood's perfectionist began his acting career as a child artist in "Yaadon Ki Baaraat" in 1973 and later worked as an assistant director in a couple of movies. He became a familiar face with his character Raj in the 1988 film "Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak". Even before its release, the "PK" actor had married Reena Dutta, who did a minor role in Mansoor Khan directorial romantic drama.

Shah Rukh Khan

Even though Bollywood's king Khan began his acting career in 1988 in a Doordarshan series "Fauji", he rose to fame only after his debut Hindi film "Deewana" in 1992, for which he received Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. However, he had already married his lady love Gauri Khan in 1991.

Saif Ali Khan

Even before his debut film "Aashiq Awara", which was released in 1993, Saif Ali Khan had tied the knot with actress Amrita Singh in 1991. However, the couple separated after 13 years of marriage and the "Happy Ending" actor married Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor in 2012.

Arjun Rampal

The "Roy" actor married former Miss India Mehr Jesia in 1998, way before he made his acting debut with "Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat" in 2001.

Chitrangada Singh

Chitrangada got married to golfer Jyoti Singh Randhawa in 2001 before her Bollywood debut in Sudhir Mishra's "Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi" in 2003.

Ayushmann Khurrana

Just one year before his debut film "Vicky Donor" (2012), Ayushmann had married his longtime girlfriend Tahira Kashyap in 2011.
