Bollywood celebs do not hire bodyguards to show-off, they actually need the security. Several celebs have been targeted by the underworld with dire threats.

Here are a few celebs who got such threats.

Madhuri Dixit Nene

Recently, 'Dhak Dhak' girl Madhuri Dixit Nene received death threats from an unidentified person. The accused was later identified as a waiter who sent an SMS threatening to kill her family.

Shah Rukh Khan

King Khan of Bollywood has been targeted several times by the underworld. It is said that SRK was receiving threats around the time of release of his "Happy New Year." Once he was even forced to sign a film by producer Nazim Rizvi by the underworld.

Akshay Kumar

The martial arts expert Akshay Kumar also received a threat call once. The caller claimed to be a 'gangster' and he said that he would kill the actor. The "Khiladi" of Bollywood then informed the police and later it was found that it was a prank call.

Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut got a call from a person who threatened to throw acid on her face. Apparently, it was the same man who threw acid on Ranaut's sister's face in the past.

Karan Johar

The well-known successful director of B-Town, Karan Johar, is always surrounded by security guards. The reason is the director has received threats calls several times where the caller demands a large sum of money or else, he will be killed.

Rakesh Roshan

Hrithik Roshan's father and ace director, Rakesh Roshan, was shot at by the underworld. In 2000, the "Krrish" director was shot in the chest while he was leaving his Mumbai office. Fortunately, he received timely medical help, which saved his life.
