Busy man Shahid Kapoor finally began shooting for "Queen" director Vikas Bahl's next "Shaandar" opposite Alia Bhatt.
Kapoor, who has been busy promoting his labour of love "Haider", had earlier delayed shoot of "Shaandar" owing to packed schedule. However, the first day of shoot has already commenced and a thrilled Bhatt took to Twitter to express her joy.
"Today is day 1 of #Shaandaar !!!! Wish me luckkkkkk :D start of a new beautiful journey!!! Wohooooo @shahidkapoor @FuhSePhantom @karanjohar," she posted. While Kapoor appeared charged up for the film, "#Shaandar takes off . Day 1 done . Boom . It's started . Here we go again," he wrote.

Bahl's "Shaandar" will be India's first destination wedding film, according to an Indian Express report.
While Kapoor and Bhatt is a fresh pair, rumours are rife that veteran actor and father of "Haider" actor will share screen space with son for the first time. Interestingly, in the movie Pankaj Kapur has apparently been offered the role of Bhatt's father.
Looking more like a family get together for the Kapoors, the film also apparently features Shahid's sister Sanah Kapoor in a key role. Although not related, actor-producer Sanjay Kapoor has also joined the team in London and will play a key role, states a Times of India report.
Known for preparing extensively for a character, reports suggest that the "Kaminey" actor has been visiting hair stylists to get the perfect look for his indo-western character in his next film. After going bald for "Haider", it will be interesting to see the actor sport another daring look.
Shahid has been having a dry-run at the box office and will hopefully redeem his nose-diving career with Bhatt on his side, who has been consistently delivering box office hits. To be shot extensively in London, Bahl has roped in lyricist and writer Anvita Dutt Guptan to write the dialogues and songs for the film.
