Sexiest Asian Men In The World: Zayn Malik tops the list, Hrithik Roshan, Barun Sobti in top 10 [PHOTOS]

Former One Direction member Zayn Malik is this year's sexiest Asian man in the world. The popular singer gained the top position in the "50 Sexiest Asian Men In The World" list, which is produced by the UK weekly newspaper Eastern Eye, after beating last year's winner Hrithik Roshan.

Zayn received millions of vote this year and from the ninth position last year, he topped the list in 2015. Zayn is now the youngest celebrity to top the list.

"Leaving One Direction did no damage at all to Zayn. From social networking sites to global media everyone around the world was talking about Zayn this year. Whether it was his haircuts, love life, solo career or life after One Direction, he had the kind of mass interest globally never seen before for an Asian celebrity. He has also established arguably the most multi-cultural fan base in the world and this was illustrated by the diversity of those who voted in force for him from around the world. And he did all this without an official solo single release. The prospect of what he can achieve when his official debut single releases is mind-blowing," Eastern Eye's award-winning Entertainment Editor Asjad Nazir said.

Hrithik topped the list last year, however, this year he slipped to the second position while Pakistani singer and actor Ali Zafar managed to hold onto the third position.

Like the "Sexiest Asian Women In The World" list, this list is also dominated by Indian television stars. Television actor Barun Sobti has been voted the fourth sexiest Asian alive, followed by Vivian D'Sena.

Pakistani actor Fawad Khan is at the sixth position, Salman Khan at seventh, Shahid Kapoor at eighth, Shah Rukh Khan at ninth and Gurmeet Choudhary is at 10th position.

Virat Kohli is the only sportsman to make it in the top 50 list while Shah Rukh is the oldest celebrity.
