Serena Williams' love life is under a lot of scrutiny, with media reports alleging that she is dating Drake and that the couple is expecting their first child together.
According to a MediaTakeOut report, a source close to Williams told the media outlet that the tennis player was actually pregnant with Drake's child during the US Open. On being asked if the duo was together, the source commented in the negative. But added: "Serena and Drake have a lot of love for each other. They're great friends. And they're going to be great parents."
Although MediaTakeOut claims that the pregnancy report isn't a rumour, HollywoodLife spoke with another source close to Williams who said report of Drake and Williams having a baby together is baseless.
"[Serena's] definitely not [pregnant]. She took a break from tennis because she needed to unwind and be stress free for a few months," the source said. Williams, apparently, is not ready to have a child now, especially if it is out of wedlock.
Also, Drake recently said in an interview that he hopes to settle down with someone from his native Canada.
"I plan to spend the rest of my life there [in Toronto] . . . When I think about the girls I want to get romantic with, it's a girl from Toronto," Drake revealed in a new interview featured in W magazine's Arts Issue.
Fans hoping for a Drake-Serena union will be disappointed with this news, as the tennis star is from Compton, California.
Drake and Williams were first linked together in 2011, and reportedly went exclusive soon after. However, their relationship lost steam after Drake was photographed on a date with model Dollicia Bryan.
The couple reportedly reunited in August. British media outlet Bang Showbiz reported that Williams and Drake were seen kissing following her victory over Victoria Azarenka. An anonymous source even told the media outlet that "publicly [Williams] says they're just friends but Drake has been by Serena's side throughout the tournament and when they've been away from the public and relaxed, it's been pretty obvious that they are together."
