The audio of Selvaraghavan's forthcoming movie Nenjam Marappathillai will be launched on Thursday, November 24. The movie marks the reunion of the director with musician Yuvan Shankar Raja, who together had earlier churned out a couple of successful albums, including 7G Rainbow Colony.
Nenjam Marappathillai comprises of just four songs. Yuvan Shankar Raja has used the vocals of Aishvarya Khumar, Dhanush and SJ Surya. The music director himself has lent his voice for a number. All the songs have been penned by Selvaraghavan.
Selvaraghavan and Yuvan Shankar Raja have teamed up after a gap of nine years. Following some differences, the duo had parted ways. However, the duo has sorted out all the differences and decided to join hands again for Nenjam Marappathillai. As a result, their reunion has made fans keep high expectations on the album.
The other major highlight of the movie is the fact that three filmmakers like SJ Surya (hero), Gautham Menon (producer) and Selvaraghavan (director) have teamed up for one movie in different roles. Hence, the audience are curiously looking forward for the release of the Tamil flick.
Talking about the album, director Selvaraghavan tweeted, "#NenjamMarappathillai music from tomorrow. I would simply call it as a very different #jammingsession with @thisisysr #FriendsForever. [sic]"
It is an important movie for Selvaraghavan, whose last two movies have bombed at the box office. The director's last notable hit was Aayirathil Oruvan way back in 2010. He is now hoping that the latest flick, which is expected to be dubbed in Telugu, will give him the much-needed break.
Nenjam Marappathillai is said to be a psycho-thriller in which Regina Cassandra and Nandita Swetha have played the female leads. The movie has Arvind Krishna's cinematography and Prasanna GK's editing.
