18 months of development by the low carbon LUTZ Pathfinder Project has resulted in the UKs first self driving vehicle being tested in a public place, as Selenium drives around Milton Keynes. Using specialised software from Oxford University’s Oxford Robotics Institute, Selenium uses data from cameras and laser light measuring, called LIDAR, to navigate down roads and avoid hazards.
