Selena Gomez seems to have a knack for losing her boyfriends to her best friends.
The "Come and Get it" singer is said to have recently broken up with DJ boyfriend Zedd; and while it is not known if Gomez has any plans of getting back with him, Zedd seems to have moved on with "The Vampire Diaries" actress Nina Dobrev, who also happens to be Gomez' close friend.
Gomez and Dobrev have been friends for quite some time and when the singer was dating Zedd, she reportedly introduced Dobrev to the DJ. However, the actress is said to have hung around with the DJ even after he and Gomez split.
The duo has also been seen getting cozy and a Hollywood Life source said that Zedd is interested in "The Vampire Diaries" star and would say yes to her "in a heartbeat". However, they are said to be worried about hurting Gomez' feeling.
"They are friends right now mostly because of different fears. Zedd thinks Nina is hot and would date her in a heartbeat. A few things are holding stuff back. He is scared to be in the tabloids again and she doesn't want to upset Selena," the insider told the website.
Though he seems to be pretty into Dobrev, the actress' rep has clarified that she isn't dating the young DJ.
Hence, It looks like for Dobrev, her girlfriends will always come before a guy. She has always supported the former couple's relationship and even backed them when they collaborated for the song "I Want You To Know".
Meanwhile, this is not the first time that Gomez is facing such a situation. Reality star/model Kendall Jenner, who is also one of Gomez' closest friends, was reportedly hooking up with Justin Bieber behind her back.
