This year's Telugu release, "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu", is taking worldwide box offices by storm.
Released on Jan 11, the multi-starrer film received rave reviews from critics. The film starring Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu, Anjali and Samantha in lead roles has raked in ₹25.01 crores within four days of its release.
"SVSC" had a tremendous opening upon its release in India. It raked in ₹9.81 crore (US$1.79 million) on the opening day at the Andhra Pradesh box office alone.
It is also creating records in the US where it was released across 89 screens. It raked in ₹6.87 crores (USA $ 1,262,100) in its opening weekend internationally.

Positive word of mouth and rave reviews particulary helped the collections of the film. Earnings surged on Sunday and Sankranthi or Pongal holiday on Monday.
The area-wise collection of the film is: ₹5.30 crore in Nizam, ₹3.10 crore in Ceeded, ₹82 lakh in Nellore, ₹1.83 crore in Guntur, ₹1.19 crore in Krishna, ₹ 1.20 crore in West Godavari, ₹1.60 crore in East Godavari, ₹1.35 crore in Vizag, and ₹1.75 crore in rest of India, according to One India.
The Srikanth Addala-directed film also features Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Rohini Hattangadi, Rao Ramesh, Abhinaya, Brahmanandam, Kota Srinivasa Rao and Tanikella Bharani in supporting roles.
