Sivakarthikeyan and Samantha's Seema Raja is a rural entertainer directed by Ponram. It is a masala flick which has opened to mixed reviews.
The movie is named after Sivakarthikeyan's character of Seema Raja, a descendant of a royal family from Singampati. He has issues with a businessman played by Lal and his wife Kaleeshwari. However, the story gets interesting when the baddies try to grab the land of the poor for a windmill project. How the hero stands up for the people forms the interesting part of the story.
The viewers have liked the decent storyline. Ponram has blended the tale with all the commercial ingredients, but the viewers are unhappy with the formulaic content. Hence, it has met with mixed reviews.
The makers were expecting that the movie would perform well at the box office. But the collection of the film at the box office is expected to take a toll as Seema Raja is hit by piracy.
The full movie with different qualities has been leaked online.
Piracy has been looming large over not only Kollywood but also other film industries across the world. Though many strict measures and policies have been implemented by governments, none of them has been successful in curbing the menace.
Under the leadership of Vishal, President of Tamil Film Producers' Council and Secretary of Nadigar Sangam, the anti-piracy cell in Kollywood has taken proactive measures and has brought down many websites and domains of notorious Tamil Rockers, yet the piracy has continued to exist.
