Two terrorists have been killed in an ongoing encounter in Anantnag's Munward, ANI has reported. The operations are being carried out by the Jammu and Kahsmir Police, the Army and the CRPF.
According to sources, the terrorists were trapped in the Munward area of the Anantnag district. Security forces launched the operation after they received a tip-off about terrorists being present in the area. According to ANI, the gunfight began after the militants fired at the security forces.
The forces have also recovered arms and ammunition from the terrorists while the operation is still underway. Meanwhile, mobile internet services have been suspended in the district. The entire area has been cordoned off and train services have also been disrupted in the area.
