Chennai, Aug 01 (ANI): An article on the frequent detentions of Tamil Nadu fishermen by the Sri Lankan navy was removed from the Sri Lankan defence website on Friday, hours after its headline and an illustration that accompanied it kicked up a storm in India. The Sri Lankan Defence Ministry removed the controversial pictures of Jayalalithaa and Narendra Modi from its website. An article titled _How Meaningful are Jayalalithaa_s Love Letters to Narendra Modi_ too has been removed. The headline and the illustration raised a furore among political leaders in Tamil Nadu. Bhopal, July 31 (ANI): The Congress party on Thursday staged a protest over the Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh and demanded CBI probe. Oommen Chandy assures safe return of stranded nurses from Libya

Thiruvananthapuram, July 30 (ANI): Kerala Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy, on Wednesday assured that the Indian nurses stranded in war-torn Libya will return back safely within the next few days. Libyan forces on Tuesday battled Islamist militants with rockets and warplanes for control of an army base in the eastern city of Benghazi after at least 30 people were killed in overnight fighting. Worried over the tense situation, the Indian mission in the conflict-ridden country has suggested its citizens to evacuate Libya and avoid going to conflict zones. India is also preparing for the safe return of its people and is even assuring to arrange for those who cannot afford to come back. Chandy added India's foreign ministry has been requested to send a separate flight for the stranded nurses to collect them from Tunisia, where they will be landing in batches from Tripoli with the help of the Indian Embassy in Libya. India working to evacuate nationals from Libya as violence erupts: MEA

New Delhi, July 29 (ANI): As Libya caught up in a major violence after a second fuel tank caught fire amid heavy fighting at Tripoli airport between rival militias, India's MEA Spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said that the country is working to evacuate Indian nationals from the country. He said that the 62 coordinators coordinating with Indian nationals have been set up already. The ministry is also providing them with air tickets to return to India, using funds from India. Akbaruddin also assured that Indians are safe till now. The battle for control of the airport erupted two weeks ago when Islamist-led militias, mainly from the western city of Misrata, tried to wrest control of the area from a rival militia from the town of Zintan.
