New Delhi/Bangalore, Aug 04 (ANI): Appropriate action will be taken against the two Indian officials if reports of their misbehaviour on the sidelines of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow are proved, Union Minister for Sports, Sarbananda Sonowal, said. Two top officials of Indian Olympic Association (IOA), general secretary, Rajiv Mehta, and wrestling referee, Virender Malik, were arrested in Glasgow on Saturday on separate charges. Sarbananda Sonowal, promised action against the two, if found guilty. Former Indian athlete, Ashwani Nachappa, demanded the federal sports ministry to consider the matter very seriously. Aug 4, 2014

Congress party workers beg, protest against employment scam in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal, Aug 2 (ANI): Youth wing of Congress party took to streets, raised slogans and protested against the state government in Madhya Pradesh over employment scam on Saturday. Protesters led by president of the youth wing, Manoj Shukla, begged on streets to exhibit the plight of students who were affected by the employment scam. The employment scam relates to admissions in medical and engineering colleges during the period 2008 to 2010 in which many government employees are under the scanner for getting selected through unfair means.
