Israeli soldiers leave Gaza as Egyptian ceasefire takes effect

Israel-Gaza Border, Aug 05 (ANI): Israeli soldiers on Tuesday withdrew from the Gaza Strip as an Egyptian-mediated ceasefire began at 0500 GMT. Israeli officials had already indicated they were winding down their ground operation in Gaza, which was aimed at demolishing Hamas' network of tunnels that extends under the border. Some of the last soldiers to leave the bombarded enclave held Israeli flags as they were crossing the border back into Israel. Aug 5, 2014

Gujarat, Aug 04 (ANI): Nearly 100 students have to swim through a river everyday to attend the nearest school in Gujarat - one of the developed states of India and home of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Boys and girls from 16 tribal villages in Narmada District swim to cross the 600 metre wide river Hiran and then walk for another five kilometres to reach the Utavadi village where the nearest school is located. While crossing the river, they carry a large utensil that helps them to stay afloat and contains their uniform and bags.
