Violent clashes break out between BJP and JMM workers in Ranchi

Ranchi, Aug 23 (ANI): Violent clashes broke out between Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers in Ranchi on Saturday while the former were holding a protest against Labour and Employment Minister Narendra Tomar. Tomar was shown black flag by the JMM workers two days after the State Chief Minister Hemant Soren received jeer from the crowd at an event where he shared dais with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The protest resulted in a clash between the JMM and BJP workers injuring many of them. AIIMS removes CVO Sanjiv Chaturvedi from post

New Delhi, Aug 21 (ANI): All India Institute of Medical Sciences has removed Indian Forest Service officer Sanjiv Chaturvedi of the Haryana cadre from the post of chief vigilance officer (CVO), despite the fact that his appointment order fixed his tenure at four years till June 2016. In an order issued last week, the charge of CVO, AIIMS, was handed over to the CVO of the Health Ministry for three months. New Delhi, Aug 20 (ANI): Pakistan's ambassador to New Delhi defended his decision to meet Kashmiri separatists earlier this week, a move that prompted India to call off planned high-level talks with the Pakistan government. He said that Kashmiri leaders are legitimate stakeholders in peaceful and viable resolution of the problem. IB Ministry suspends Censor Board CEO

New Delhi, Aug 20 (ANI): The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has suspended the chief executive officer of the Central Board of Film Certification, Rakesh Kumar, who was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly accepting a bribe. Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Prakash Javadekar, said corruption will not be tolerated, and hence, Kumar has been suspended. According to sources, the CEO of the Childrens Film Society of India (CFSI), Sharavan Kumar, will assume additional charge as CEO of CBFC.
