RS Pura, Aug 13 (ANI): Pakistani army violated ceasefire in R.S. Pura district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, making it the fourth incident of heavy firing in the last five days. The neighbouring country's troops fired at India's paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) officials and villagers staying in Arnia town along the international border. Muzaffarnagar organizes marathon to spread communal harmony

Muzaffarnagar, Aug 13 (ANI): In a bid to unite people from all faiths in riot-hit Muzaffarnagar city of Uttar Pradesh, a marathon was organised on Tuesday to spread the message of peace and communal harmony. Muzaffarnagar is a flashpoint in Uttar Pradesh in which some 60 people were killed in Hindu-Muslim riots last year. The marathon saw participation of around 4,000 children, along with journalists, police officials, and members of various women and civil society organisations. The event concluded with a cultural function featuring Independence Day-themed programmes. The five-kilometre marathon is an annual event and was organised for the third time in a row.
