New Delhi, Feb 28 (ANI): Anti-graft crusader, Anna Hazare said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was allergic to him and added that the country would never progress under Modi's rule or that of Congress party vice-president Rahul Gandhi. When asked whether Hazare would meet Modi to express his concerns over the bill, the anti corruption activist said the prime minister was allergic to him. However, on Friday Modi said that the government was ready to make changes to the executive decree, while addressing lawmakers in the Lok Sabha. Meanwhile, Hazare suggested on taking agricultural lands on lease. Hazare said he would launch a three-month movement from Maharashtra to New Delhi and voice his concern over the land acquisition bill. He had held a two-day agitation at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi against the new land acquisition ordinance introduced by Indian government. Feb 28, 2015

Kejriwal shares stage with Anna in protest against Land Acquisition Bill

New Delhi, Feb 24 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday shared stage with Social activist Anna Hazare who is protesting against the amended land acquisition bill being presented by the BJP government in Lok Sabha. Kejriwal said that the new bill is against the interest of the farmers and if it gets passed the Central Government would be behaving like a property dealer for the rich and corporate. He assured to the people of Delhi that no illegal land acquisition shall be promoted in the Capital. Further, praising Anna, Kejriwal said that Hazare is like a ‘father figure’ to him and he holds due respect for Anna. Hazare began a two-day protest against Modi government's controversial Land Acquisition Ordinance on Monday, the day when Budget Session of the Parliament also commenced. Social activist Medha Patkar, CPI leader Atul Anjan, MDMK leader Vaiko also joined Hazare's protest. Land Ordinance: Opposition slams Modi govt, BJP defends its decision

New Delhi/Palwal, Feb 23 (ANI): India's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to have a tough time in the ongoing budget session of Parliament with political parties voicing their opposition to a land acquisition ordinance brought in by the Narendra Modi government. Rajya Sabha (Upper House of Parliament) member and chief of regional Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Mayawati, appreciated veteran social activist and anti-corruption crusader, Anna Hazare, for leading an agitation against the ordinance. Apart from BSP, another regional party, Janata Dal (United) (JD-U), also criticised the Modi government over the new ordinance.
