Kochi Airport on high alert after bomb threat

Kochi, Oct 24 (ANI): Kerala's Kochi Airport has been put on high alert on the orders of the Airports Authority of India following receipt of a bomb threat. Earlier Friday morning, the police received a call stating that a bomb is being carried by a passenger in an Air India flight arriving from Ahmedabad. Ahmedabad, Oct 20 (ANI): A 60-year-old man in Gujarat has taken the initiative to help disabled people find love and choose their life partners to embark on a new journey. Natubhai Patel is playing matchmaker to the differently abled people as they are alienated from the society and a lot of times are not able to voice their opinion. Disabled people from across India came to the event organised for them to find a match for life in Ahmedabad. The participants were required to fill registration forms at the beginning of the event and were later called on stage one by one for introduction. Ahmedabad/ Srinagar, Oct 19 (ANI): The worst floods in the last several decades that submerged Kashmir recently, have badly affected the supply of dry fruits from the state that are packed into glittering boxes and distributed as gifts in Diwali throughout India. The state of Jammu and Kashmir is one of the major suppliers of dry fruits in India. Farmers remained the worst hit due to the massive floods in Kashmir as stagnant water in their agricultural fields damaged crops and affected the yield. Diwali, which will fall on October 23 this year, is celebrated with great fervour and gaiety all over India. Ahmedabad, Oct 08 (ANI): As a part of recently launched 'Clean India Mission', railway authorities in Gujarat introduced hi-tech plastic bottle crushers where the plastic can be recycled and used again. In a bid to keep railway stations clean and recycle used plastic bottles, railway authorities in Ahmedabad installed the bottle crusher machine at a station. A ward assistant of Western Railways, Atul Tripathi, said this was the first time in India that such an initiative was undertaken. If proven a success, it would be further taken to other cities.
