Siliguri, Aug 26 (ANI): Torrential rains triggered flood-like situation in Siliguri town under Darjeeling district of West Bengal on Tuesday. Normal life was disrupted as Siliguri received 150mm rainfall in the past 24 hours. Some areas remained waterlogged after the lashing rains. The affected residents blocked the highway for several hours to protest against the establishment for not taking stalk of situation in water logged areas. A DGMO level talks between India and Pakistan is to take place today where Indian Army is likely to raise the issue of ceasefire violations to their Pakistani counterparts. Poonch, Aug 25 (ANI): Senior Army officers expressed confidence that the soldiers posted in forward areas along the India Pakistan border in Kashmir are well trained to foil any attempts by Pakistan to pump in infiltrators across the Line of Control. Kashmir has witnessed almost uninterrupted ceasefire violation by Pakistan since August 15. Brigade Commander, Sanjay Thakaran, posted in border district of Poonch said on Monday that the soldiers are aware of Pakistan's attempt to keep the tension on Line of Control high, but all such attempts will be thwarted.
