Smriti Irani wields broom to promote cleanliness drive in schools

New Delhi, Sep 25 (ANI): Education Minister, Smriti Irani, on Thursday visited a school in New Delhi to promote government’s cleanliness campaign ‘Swachch Bharat’ (clean India) among the students. The minister invited the students to actively participate and contribute their ideas to the official blog which would help the Human Resource Development ministry to improve upon their cleanliness drive. Irani called the students future of a nation and said awareness and participation on the part of the students is a must to make India clean in literal terms. The ministry is also planning curriculum adaptation of this cleanliness drive so that it becomes a habit and part of the lifestyle. Govt committed to make India manufacturing hub: Nirmala Sitharaman

New Delhi, Sep 25 (ANI): During 'Make in India' launch event on Thursday in New Delhi, Commerce and industry minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the government has been able to change perception of India in last few months. She said that the government is committed to make India a manufacturing hub. She also said that validity on industrial licences will be extended to 3 years and the government is now amending number of labour laws. Sitharaman further added that said a series of measures have been taken on ease of doing business and the government is fully commited to de-licensing, deregulating and taking India to high growth trajectory. New Delhi, Sep 23 (ANI): Ministry of External Affairs on Tuesday highlighted the schedule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the United States for enhancing bilateral relations. MEA Spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin stated that Prime Minister Modi will be meeting UN Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon before addressing United Nations' General Assembly Session. Akbaruddin said that Prime Minister will be meeting US President Barrack Obama and former President Bill Clinton during his visit. He also said that Modi will pay homage to the 9/11 memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Martin Luther King Memorial & Mahatma Gandhi's statue in Washington.
