New Delhi/Ahmedabad, Sep 29 (ANI): Business leaders on Monday (September 29) hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's move as he met the CEOs of 11 top US companies in a bid to lure fresh foreign investments. Indian business leaders have high expectation from Modi's meeting with tycoons. Secretary General of The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), DS Rawat said that Modi is giving clear signal for investment in India. Secretary General, of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FICCI) Dr Alwyn Didar Singh said that the move will be a real game changer. President of Gujarat Chambers of Commerce and Industries Rakesh Shah said steps taken by the prime minister will grow industries, ventures and employment in the country which lead to strengthen economy. New Delhi, Sep 29 (ANI): As National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) observed its 10th foundation day on Monday, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and MoS for home affairs Kiren Rijiju applauded the force for its work. Singh said that the ministry has decided to restructure the NDMA to make it more effective. Rijiju said that the work done by the NDMA is admirable and the forces have worked immensely in combating natural disasters. He said that Gabbard, who is a yoga follower like PM himself, expressed her desire to visit India. Gabbard also presented Modi with Hindu holy book, Bhagwad Gita. Further, he said that Modi later met Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and discussed how to expand ties in view of change in government of India. Lucknow, Sep 27 (ANI): The UP government on Saturday officially commenced the Lucknow Metro project. Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav while speaking at the Bhoomi Pujan said that efforts will be made to complete the project before the next state assembly election which will be held in 2016. He added that there is no other state in which the metro project is being carried out simultaneously at three different places. New York, Sep 27 (ANI): India's foreign ministry said on Saturday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed issues of anti-terror squads and megacity policing with New York Mayor Bill De Blasio during his one to one talks. Foreign Ministry Spokesman Syed Akbaruddin, said both mayor Blasio and the director of US National Cancer Institute, Harold Varmus, hailed Modi's recent decision of increasing the minimum age of smoking from 18 to 25 in the country. The foreign ministry spokesperson said Modi will speak in Hindi during his speech at United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Saturday and will take on militancy. Akbaruddin also talked about the Indian delegates who will be accompanying the prime minister during his dinner at the White House with US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama. India will handle issue procedurally: MEA on US summons against PM Modi

New York, Sep 27 (ANI): India has reacted cautiously to the summons issued against Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his alleged role in the 2002 Gujarat riots and said that it will handle the issue procedurally. Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said that India's sovereign representative is ring-fenced and that there is no question of anyone serving summons on India's sovereign representative.
