Finance Secretary highlights need to instill confidence in investors to boost economic growth

New Delhi, June 24 (ANI): Finance Secretary, Arvind Mayaram, on Tuesday laid emphasis on the need to boost investors' confidence to bring the country back on the path of growth and to spur economic expansion to its potential level. India will likely raise the foreign investment limit in government debt soon, as almost all the allocation has already been taken up as overseas buyers pile into the country's financial markets. The finance ministry will decide on the matter after consultations with the Reserve Bank of India and capital markets regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India. Sushma Swaraj aims to make passport service satisfactory

New Delhi, June 24 (ANI): Union Foreign Minister, Sushma Swaraj, aimed to provide satisfactory passport service to the people of the country, as she pinned hopes on speedy issuance of passport. Swaraj, while addressing mediapersons on 'Passport Service Day' on Tuesday said that authorities should conduct a brainstorming session to ensure timely issuance of passport. Foreign Ministry had declared June 24 as 'Passport Seva Divas' every year to commemorate the enactment of Passport Act in 1967. Sushma Swaraj holds meeting with Indian envoys to SAARC nations to bolster relations

New Delhi, June 23 (ANI): Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj on Monday met Indian envoys to SAARC nations as part of new government's initiative to improve bilateral ties with neighbours. Swaraj met the envoys to take stock of current relations with each of the neighbouring countries to set down Narendra Modi led government's priorities and approach. Swaraj will pay a three-day visit to Bangladesh from June 25 during which she will hold talks with top leadership.Recently, Modi's decision to make Bhutan his first destination for his foreign trip was the latest in a series of unconventional policy choices by the new Prime Minister.
