New Delhi, July 03 (ANI): Kerala Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy, met Foreign Minister, Sushma Swaraj, on Thursday to discuss ways to bring back stranded nurses from Iraq. Nurses from Kerala, who are stranded in Tikrit city, have called for urgent help from the Indian government. Chandy said that the government is concerned about the safety of nurses and it is doing every bit to bring them back. India's foreign ministry solving immigration issues to bring back nationals from Iraq

New Delhi, July 3 (ANI): MEA Spokesperson, Syed Akbaruddin, said facilities were being made available through community welfare funds to pay for immigration fines of stranded nationals in strife-torn Iraq. Addressing mediapersons in New Delhi, Akbaruddin said immigration issues were impeding the evacuation of Indian nationals. About 10,000 Indian nationals work in Iraq, mostly in areas unaffected by the fighting between the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and the national army.
