PM Modi reaches Visakhapatnam to review situation after cyclone Hudhud

Visakhapatnam, Oct 14 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday arrived at the port city of Visakhapatnam to review the situation after cyclone Hudhud hit the states of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. Modi was accompanied by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu. The PM will also be conducting an aerial survey of the cyclone affected areas in both the states. Modi has instructed top officials to ensure that there is no bottleneck in relief and rescue work in the cyclone affected areas of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. Hyderabad, Oct 12 (ANI): After chairing a high level meeting, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday said that at least four people are reported dead while death of two is confirmed. Naidu said that the authorities are not able to assess wind speed as they have lost communications and that the situation is serious in 3-4 districts of the state. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured all cooperation and are arrangements are made so that quick action will be taken to tackle the cyclone.
