India summons Pak Deputy HC over delay in 26/11 Mumbai attack trial

New Delhi, July 25 (ANI): India, on Friday, has summoned Pakistan Deputy High Commissioner over delay in trial of Mumbai 26/11 attacks. While the Pakistan deputy high commissioner was summoned to the ministry of external affairs in India, the Indian deputy high commissioner went to the Pakistan foreign office in Islamabad and lodged a similar protest. Sushma Swaraj hails return of workers, nurses from strife-torn Iraq

New Delhi, July 25 (ANI): India's Foreign Minister, Sushma Swaraj, on Friday hailed the return of workers and nurses who were abducted by suspected Islamist militants in Iraq. The 46 nurses, all from Kerala, had been stranded in a hospital in the militant-controlled city of Tikrit for weeks but were moved on July 03 against their will, India's foreign ministry had said. Recently, 17 more Indian nurses, who were stranded in Iraq, arrived in Kerala. Swaraj said around 4, 000 Indians have been brought back from Iraq. Congress hits out at Modi govt over secretary-level talks with Pakistan

New Delhi, July 25 (ANI): Congress slammed the ruling BJP government over foreign secretary-level talks between India and Pakistan scheduled for next month. Islamabad, July 25 (ANI): The foreign secretaries of India and Pakistan will meet on August 25 to re-launch the stalled dialogue process between the two countries. Addressing a media briefing in Islamabad, Pakistan Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry, said that in keeping with the vision of the two prime ministers to improve and establish good neighbourly relations, both sides had agreed on the meeting date during a telephonic conversation between the foreign secretaries of the two countries. The development is being seen as a major breakthrough in the backdrop of hostilities that recently cropped up following skirmishes on the Line of Control. He said the mechanism of Director Generals Military Operations (DGMOs) talking to each other every Tuesday was working well and Pakistan was open to ideas and suggestions to strengthen this mechanism and to increase its effectiveness.
