Guntur, June 08 (ANI): TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday took oath as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh at a grand function Guntur district of the state. Senior leaders like LK Advani, Murali Manohar Joshi, Venkaiah Naidu, Arun Jaitley, Prakash Javadekar, Chief Ministers of Goa, Rajasthan and Gujarat and film stars attended the swearing-in ceremony. Preparations in full swing for oath ceremony of Chandrababu Naidu as Andhra CM

Guntur, June 8 (ANI): Preparations are on at a stadium in Guntur district where TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, will be sworn-in as the first chief minister of new Andhra Pradesh, formed after separation of Telangana. Lakhs of people are expected to attend the oath-taking ceremony, which will be held at a ground near Nagarjuna University in Guntur city. Nearly 10,000 police personnel will be deployed under the supervision of Director General of Police (DGP) J.V. Ramood and Inspector General of Police, Guntur Range, Sunil Kumar. Many senior leaders like LK Advani. Murali Manohar Joshi, Venkaiah Naidu, Arun Jaitley, Prakash Javadekar along with Chief Ministers of Goa, Rajasthan and Gujarat will attend the swearing-in ceremony. TDP in alliance with the BJP achieved a clean sweep in the state by crushing the Congress party's existence to form the state government. The TDP won 103 of the 175 seats. Jun 8, 2014

Sumitra Mahajan elected new Lok Sabha speaker

New Delhi, June 6 (ANI): Sumitra Mahajan, an eight-time BJP Member of Parliament from Indore, has been unanimously elected the Speaker of the 16th Lok Sabha. Mahajan’s name was proposed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and seconded by senior BJP leader LK Advani and Home Minister Rajnath Singh. Opposition leaders, including the Leader of Congress in Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge, M Thambidurai (AIADMK), Sudip Bandopadhyay (Trinamool Congress), Mulayam Singh Yadav (SP), Supriya Sule (NCP) and Mohammed Salip (CPI-M) are among the 19-proposers for Mahajan's name. New Delhi, June 03 (ANI): Political leaders from various political parties paid tribute to late BJP leader Gopinath Munde on Tuesday. Among those who paid tribute to Munde were Rajnath Singh, Murli Manohar Joshi, Vijay Goel, Harish Rawat, Hamid Ansari, Rahul Gandhi, LK Advani, Vasundhra Raje, Arun Jaitley, Ram Vilas Paswan and his son Chirag Paswan. Munde tragically passed away on Tuesday morning after meeting with an accident in Delhi's Prithviraj-Tughlak Road at around 6:30 am. Speaking on the occasion actor Mohit Marwa who plays one of the lead roles in the film spoke about the film and urged Shiamak Davar's dancing students to watch the film.
