Ayodhya, March 01 (ANI): The popular festival of colours 'Holi' commenced with auspicious prayers in the temple city of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. As per Hindu traditions, people in Ayodhya celebrate the annual festival in the month of 'Phalgun' (usually February-March) to propagate social amity. At the Hanuman Garhi temple, priests offered special prayers to Lord Hanuman and took out procession on streets and visited various temples in the neighbourhood. Enroute, people in the procession spray colours and exchange greetings with others. As per Hindu almanac, 'Holi' falls on March 06 this year. Mar 1, 2015

New Delhi/ Lucknow, Feb 27 (ANI): Differentiating reactions come in on Friday as Hashim Ansari's proposal for 'out of court settlement' on Ayodhya issue receives continuous jerk by both the community leaders. BMAC Convenor Zafaryab Jilani said that the Muslim working committee decided that the matter cannot be sorted out with understanding and that it should be left to the court. Muslim Cleric Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali also opined that the Supreme Court's decision should be followed. Shiv Sena Spokesperson Sanjay Raut said that commended the approach and said that out of the court settlement is a good step. NCP leader Tariq Anwar also supported the move. New Delhi, Feb 25 (ANI): The Vishwa Hindu Parishad rejected the proposal of Hashim Ansari to resolve the long pending Ayodhya dispute drawing political reactions on Wednesday. Ansari had proposed to create a temple as well as a mosque at the land of demolished Babri mosque. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said that VHP cannot decide upon that issue without discussing it with Shiv Sena. NCP leader Tariq Anwar said that the Court should give a verdict in the case soon. New Delhi/ Ayodhya/ Lucknow, Feb 24 (ANI): Reactions come in on Tuesday after the oldest litigant in the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi title suit case, Hashim Ansari met Mahant Gyan Das of Hanuman Garhi in Ayodhya and expressed his desire for an out-of-court settlement of the dispute. AIBMAC Convenor Zafaryab Jilani said that the community trust Ansari and are with him on the issue. However, he said that the VHP's stand is clear on the issue and that the Muslim community would not compromise over the same. Muslim Cleric Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali said that Ansari should put his view in the Supreme Court as the case is with the apex court. NCP leader Tariq Anwar also welcomed the proposal.
