One year ago, on 13 November 2015, Paris was hit by a series of terror attacks which claimed the lives of 130 people, injured a further 368. The most devastating attack was at the Bataclan theatre, where 89 people were killed whilst attending a concert by rock band Eagles of Death Metal.Le Monde journalist Daniel Psenny was working at home at the time when he heard what he thought was fireworks. From his balcony, overlooking an alleyway outside the Bataclan, he could see people fleeing in terror from the venue. The video footage he recorded of the incident, particularly of a pregnant woman clinging to the window on the Batalcans second floor, was shown around the world.Psenny himself was later shot when he tried to help a man who had collapsed on the pavement. Music legend Leonard Cohen dies aged 82

A statement on Cohens Facebook page said that he had died, but gave no further details. Cohen, a native of Quebec, was already a celebrated poet and novelist when he moved to New York in 1966 at 31 to break into the music business. Before long, critics were comparing him to Bob Dylan for the lyrical force of his songwriting. Cohen, who never married, is survived by his daughter, Lorca, and his son, Adam. Nov 11, 2016
