Milind Deora, IUML take aim at Rahul for poll debacle, politicos react

New Delhi, May 22 (ANI): In the first open criticism from within the Congress after the party's disastrous defeat, former union minister Milind Deora took aim at party vice president Rahul Gandhi. Deora said that Rahul Gandhi's advisers did not have their "ears to the ground" and those with "no electoral experience" were "calling the shots", but added that "the people who take the advice also have to bear responsibility". In addition, the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) became the first UPA ally to blame Rahul for the rout of the coalition in the Lok Sabha elections. While the BJP refused to comment saying it was the party's internal matter, the Congress and the NCP opposed discussing such issues publicly. May 22, 2014
