South Dinajpur, Oct 24 (ANI): On the festival of Diwali, India and Bangladesh border guards exchanged sweets at Hilly Indo-Bangladesh border under South Dinajpur district of West-Bengal. To enhance bilateral relations the exchange of sweets between India and Bangladesh along the border is an old and traditional gesture to show goodwill between the two nations and has been in practice for many years now. Indo-Bangladesh border troops exchange Diwali sweets with fervor

Akhaura, Oct 23 (ANI): As goodwill gesture on the occasion of Diwali, the paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF), stationed along the India-Bangladesh border at Akhaura exchanged sweets with their counterparts. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of BSF, BS Tolia, gave sweets boxes to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) official Saifur, while greeting them on the occasion of Diwali to be celebrated on Thursday. He also extended his greetings to all the residents of Bangladesh on behalf of the BSF. The gesture was equally reciprocated by BGB officials and jawans.
