India's first Corporate Football League to kick off in New Delhi

New Delhi, June 29 (ANI): With the FIFA World Cup having captured the world's attention, Indian capital New Delhi is all set to host the nation's first ever Corporate Football League (CFL) 2014. The first match of the CFL would kick-off on Sunday at the Thyagraj Stadium in New Delhi. 25 Corporate teams would be competing with each other and the tournament would conclude on July 13, which is also the day for the FIFA World Cup final in Brazil. During the inauguration of the CFL on Saturday at the Thyagraj Stadium, Director of CFL Sanjay Singhania said that corporate sector and media together can contribute towards the promotion of football in India. New Delhi, June 27 (ANI): Four metro stations in the national capital have been closed 'indefinitely', as hundreds of students said that they will protest in front of the Prime Minister's residence on Race Course Road. The stations that have been shut down are Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat, Race Course Road and Udyog Bhawan. More than 3,000 students were holding a demonstration at Civil Lines who later marched to Rajghat, against the change in pattern of the Civil Services exams -which makes CSAT compulsory for those who want to become IAS officers. UPSC aspirants had staged a protest last week outside the residence of Home Minister Rajnath Singh demanding a four-year age relaxation for appearing in the examinations of these services. New Delhi, June 27 (ANI): Indian workers, who arrived at international airport in New Delhi on Friday after escaping from Iraq, complained of ill treatment by Iraq administration and embassy.
