New Delhi/ Lucknow, Aug 30 (ANI): Political leaders on Saturday reacted over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Japan visit which began today. Congress leader Rashid Alvi said that all political leaders holding important offices take foreign tours but it is worthy only if it brings something good for the country. NCP leader Tariq Anwar said that Modi's return will tell what the visit was like. JD (U) leader Ali Anwar said that a delegation of businessmen will help Modi in dealing foreign trade with Japan. SP leader Rajendra Chaudhary wished good luck to the PM for his journey. PM Modi says bilateral dialogue with Pakistan requires militancy free environment

New Delhi, Aug 30 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said that a bilateral dialogue with Pakistan was only possible if there is militancy and violence free environment. PM Modi has said that India desires peaceful, friendly and cooperative ties with Pakistan, as he has had a very good meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in May 2014, when he attended Modi's swearing-in ceremony. Modi added that both counterparts had together decided that the Foreign Secretaries should meet and explore how to take relations forward. New Delhi, Aug 29 (ANI): As 25 Indian nationals in Kuwait have been arrested on murder charges on Friday, Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin assured that all nationals are out of danger and that India's Mission has taken up the issue and will soon provide necessary assistance. Akbaruddin said that there was a brawl with nationals of some other countries and that some Indians were arrested in the same. He said that our mission has visited all hospitals to check the Indian nationals and to ensure adequate food provisions for them. The MEA also appealed the Indian to abide by the laws of Kuwait as India neds to maintain that. Akbaruddin also assured that Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj is giving directions in the case. BJP hails PM Modi's Jan Dhan Yojana

Lucknow/ Bhopal/ Mumbai, Aug 29 (ANI): BJP leaders and cabinet ministers hailed the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to launch a scheme to ensure that the majority of households in his country of nearly 1.3 billion people have a bank account within months. If successful, the Jan Dhan Yojana could help mend strained state finances by better targeting billions of dollars in welfare spending as well as relieving poverty in a country where about 40 percent of the population has no access to banking. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan praised the initiative saying through this scheme people would be able to save their money judiciously. Under the scheme, the government will give account holders a debit card and accident insurance cover of up to 100,000 rupees. Good customers would also be eligible for an overdraft facility of up to 5,000 Indian rupees after six months. Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj said this could help break a link between poor public services and corruption. Home Minister Rajnath Singh said this would make people financially independent.
