New Delhi, Jan 16 (ANI): Politican reactions poured in as chairperson of Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) Leela Samson resigned citing reasons of 'interference and corruption' after the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT) apparently cleared the controversial film Messenger of God ( MSG) that stars Dera Saccha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. Politicos welcome RBI's decision to slash repo rate by 25 basis points to 7.75 percent

New Delhi, Jan 15 (ANI): Politicos on Thursday welcomed the Reserve Bank of India's decision to slash repo rate by 25 basis points to 7.75 percent. Reserve Bank of India Governor Raghuram Rajan took markets and corporate India by surprise early Thursday morning when he announced a long-awaited cut in the repo rate by 25 basis points to 7.75% with immediate effect. This is the first repo rate cut since May 2013. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Minister of State for the ministry also welcomed the decision and saw the same as beneficial for the nation building. Suresh Prabhu pitches for seamless policing for security in Indian railways

New Delhi, Jan 15 (ANI): Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu on Thursday called for seamless policing to ensure security and safety of the passengers. The minister, addressing the Conference of Director Generals of Police (DGP) of all states on railway security, said with the increase in crimes, it is inevitable that railways will also be its victim. Social, political and economic factors also contribute to the crime rate going up; and unemployment, regional disparities and growing ambitions not being fulfilled also contribute to it, Prabhu added. Inviting the officers to device joint strategy to deal with crimes, especially on running trains, the minister said as law-enforcers there is a challenge as policing in railways is a difficult task. Also present at the conference was Home Minister Rajnath Singh, who said Indian railways is a developmental as well as a strategic asset. Finance Minister welcomes RBI rate cut as inflation drops

New Delhi, Jan 15 (ANI): The finance ministry welcomed an inter-meeting rate cut by the RBI on Thursday, and termed it as a positive development for the government's efforts to achieve economic growth without stoking inflation. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that the rate cut would lead to more in the hands of consumer and greater spending.
