Halle Berry says lack of Hollywood diversity is ‘heartbreaking’

Hollywood star Halle Berry, the only black actress to win an Academy Award for a lead role, said it was heartbreaking that no other actresses of colour have followed in her footsteps since she won her Oscar. Last months nominations for the 2016 Oscars were met with an outcry over the omission of any actors of colour for a second year, with actor Will Smith and director Spike Lee saying they would not attend the awards ceremony on 28 February.
