Amarnath Yatra spurs tourism in Kashmir as well

Srinagar, July 26 (ANI): The Hindu cave shrine of Amarnath, located in a Himalayan glacial valley, spurred tourism in Kashmir as pilgrims throng the mountainous terrain during the ongoing pilgrimage. The holy Amarnath cave is situated at a height of approximately 4,000 meters, which has four ice formations considered figurines of different Hindu gods. Amarnath is a 150 feet high and 90 feet long cave located nearly 145 km from summer capital, Srinagar. Pilgrims are not only going to the shrine, but are also coming in large numbers to take a trip of the valley and enjoy the picturesque views, grasp the freshness of the meadows, the hills and the rivers and to beat the heat. The Amaranth yatra started on June 28 this year and since then, famous tourist spots in the state, including summer capital Srinagar, Gulmarg district, Pahalgam, and Sonmarg have witnessed travellers from around the country. New Delhi, July 24 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 124.52 points up to stand at 26,271.85. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 34.85 points up to stand at 7,830.60. Financial Tech and Uco Bank were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 10.00% and 5.83% along with Bank of India and Reliance Capital Ltd. with an increase of 4.27% and 4.05% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include IPCA Lab and JPPOWER with a decrease of 13.06% and 7.02% along with Cairn India and Jaiprakash Associates Ltd. with a decrease of 6.67% and 6.06% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is up 3.67 points at 15,807.83 while the banking sector is up 77.29 points at 17,782.36 and the realty sector is up 6.28 points at 1,977.97. Mumbai, July 24 (ANI): Bollywood diva Priyanka Chopra launched the trailer of her upcoming biopic drama film _Mary Kom_ on Wednesday along with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and producer Omung Kumar in India_s showbiz capital, Mumbai. Priyanka, who will be seen playing the role of boxer Mary Kom in the film, came up on the stage donning a boxing robe. Calling it the hardest film of her career, she said she drew inspiration from Olympic boxing champion Kom herself.
