New Delhi, Aug 9 (ANI): Stressing on the importance of the Indo-US relationship, United States Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel on Saturday said that a stronger partnership between both the countries is critical for sustained peace and prosperity around the globe. Earlier, Hagel met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Defence Minister Arun Jaitley and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to hold discussions to strengthen military ties between the United States and India. New Delhi, Aug 08 (ANI): Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) aspirants staged another protest on Friday in Delhi's Mukherjee Nagar, forcing Delhi Police to detain some of them. Yesterday, the Rajya Sabha had also witnessed uproar over the issue of the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) of the UPSC examinations. UPSC aspirants have been protesting vociferously against the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) examination, which was introduced in 2011, demanding that it be made easy for rural students. Earlier, in a bid to resolve the CSAT row, the government took a decision that the marks of English section will not be included for merit. New Delhi, Aug 8 (ANI): Former Union Minister Jaswant Singh has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Army Research and Referral Hospital in Delhi on Thursday, and is said to be in critical condition. A senior doctor at the hospital said that Singh has been operated upon for head injury. Singh reportedly slipped and grievously injured his head. According to reports, the former Union Minister was found unconscious around 11 pm at his residence last night. Senior BJP leader LK Advani visited the hospital to inquire about Jaswant Singh's welfare. The 76-year-old leader was expelled from the BJP earlier this year after he decided to contest the general elections from his home district Barmer in Rajasthan as an Independent candidate.
