New Delhi, Aug 13 (ANI): The government's move to scrap the previous Bill on judicial appointments and introduce a new one in the Lok Sabha got mixed reactions from various political parties. Union Law minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad, on Monday tabled the Judicial Appointments Commission Bill in the Lok Sabha and it will replace the existing collegium system when it comes into effect. Sushma Swaraj launches website to track information on death of nationals overseas

New Delhi, Aug 12 (ANI): Union Foreign Minister, Sushma Swaraj, launched a website to facilitate exchange of updated information on the status of return of bodies of citizens to the country in case of death overseas.Talking to mediapersons in New Delhi on Tuesday, Swaraj said relatives in India have to face a lot of inconvenience due to lack of information if their loved ones, living in other countries, die due to some reason. She said that they are usually unaware on when the bodies will return and approach her inquiring about the same. In a bid to facilitate an easy flow of information between the missions abroad and kin over tracking bodies, the foreign ministry came up with the idea. The website has been created by Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs (MOIA) and will be taken forward by the foreign ministry. Aug 12, 2014

Earlier in the day, Modi also addressed a rally in Leh and came out strongly against Pakistan for continuing its proxy war of terrorism against India, saying it has lost the strength to fight a conventional war. Leh, Aug 12 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 45 MW Nimoo-Bazgo hydroelectric power project at Leh polo grounds on Tuesday. The power project is situated at Alchi village, 70 km from Leh. Modi arrived in Ladakh early in morning on a daylong visit. He was received at the Leh airport by Jammu and Kashmir governor NN Vohra, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Ladakh parliamentarian Nawan Rigzin Jora, Chief of Indian Army Gen Dalbir Singh Suhag and senior civil, police and military officials.
