New Delhi, Feb 06 (ANI): US Ambassador to India, Richard Verma said that both countries should bring energy and persistence to overcome the obstacles towards achieving the shared objectives agreed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Barack Obama. Verma added that leaders had set the tone and it was up to rest of them to take the relationship forward that involves Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar and his team, cabinets, bureaucracies and national security teams. The January 25 announcement by Obama and Modi followed six weeks of intensive talks, but few details were released beyond a framework based on India's acceptance of the principle that plant operators should bear primary liability in the event of a nuclear disaster. Police recover stolen antique idols in Himachal Pradesh

Kullu, Jan 24 (ANI): Police recovered antique idols of Hindu deities in Himachal Pradesh that were stolen last month and detained the suspect in Nepal. A 17th century idol of Lord Raghunath, worth billion of rupees, was stolen from a temple in Kullu district along with idols of Lord Ganesha, Hanuman, Narsangh and Salig Ram and some silver and gold ornaments. The main idol was concealed under a stone structure in the outskirts of Kullu. The other priceless artifacts were recovered from a local market. New Delhi, Jan 18 (ANI): Information and Broadcasting Minister Arun Jaitley on Sunday called upon the media to act responsibly on matters of national security and sensitive issues. Jaitley made the comments while delivering the first Justice J. S. Verma Memorial lecture on the 'Freedom and Responsibility of Media' in New Delhi. He said the challenges before media were to ensure quality and credibility while reporting. Jaitley also advised media to avoid conducting parallel trials in reporting matters that were subjudice. Satish Upadhyay to oversee BJP's Delhi poll campaign

New Delhi, Jan 14 (ANI): The chief of the Delhi unit of the BJP, Satish Upadhyay, will oversee the party's poll campaign for the February 7 assembly elections in Delhi. The BJP has announced that Upadhyay will head the 21-member Election Committee for the poll campaign. The committee's members include all seven Delhi Members of Parliament-Harsh Vardhan, Meenakshi Lekhi, Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma, Udit Raj, Manoj Tiwari, Ramesh Bidhuri and Mahesh Girri. Apart from these MPs, Rajya Sabha member and former Delhi BJP President Vijay Goel, senior party leaders Jagdish Mukhi and Vijay Kumar Malhotra are part of the Election Committee.
