Hamirpur Sector, Oct 17 (ANI): Pakistan troops resorted to small arms fire in the Hamirpur Sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch District late last night. India makes efforts to send back Pakistani national who crossed border mistakenly

Jammu, Oct 12 (ANI): Officials of paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) are making constant efforts to send back a Pakistani national who had crossed the border mistakenly and was caught in Jammu region. A resident of Lahore, the old man had come towards Indian side to collect some medicines but was caught by BSF personnel in the wake of exchange of gunfire along the de facto border with Pakistan. BSF has been maintaining a high-alert along the India-Pakistan international border following the recent gun shelling. Deputy Inspector General of BSF, BS Kasane, said the old man has been identified as Mohammad Nadeer and has proved to be innocent after intense investigation was conducted against him. Trucks carrying food items, utensils, blankets, medicines and more were stopped at Lakhanpur in Kathua district – the gateway to Jammu and Kashmir – by the Toll Posts of Excise Department and the Sales Tax Department due to incomplete formalities. Kanpur, Sep 21 (ANI): A man was arrested with 218 turtles packed in two sack bags at Kanpur Railway station that were being smuggled to Kolkata. Government Railway Police (GRP) Inspector, Tripurari Pandey said that the man was trying to smuggle the turtles to Kolkata. The turtles recovered from the smuggler are estimated to be worth millions in the international market. Pandey also said that the turtles were primarily used for consumption or for making medicines. There is a huge demand of turtles in Southeast Asia and China. Apart from being consumed and making medicines, turtles are believed to have aphrodisiac properties as well.
