New Delhi, Sep 04 (ANI): Stressing on the importance of teachers in a society on the eve of Teachers' Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called teaching a way of life. Modi was speaking on Thursday while interacting with 350 national awardee teachers who will be felicitated by President Pranab Mukherjee on Teachers' Day. New Delhi, Aug 29 (ANI): According to reports Lieutenant Governor (LG) is likely to write to President Pranab Mukherjee discussing alternatives on government formation in Delhi. Jung's recommendation will go through the home ministry to the Union Cabinet, which will then advise the President. The President can accept or reject that advice. If he accepts it, the single largest party will be asked to name its leader who will then be invited to take over as chief minister. Meanwhile, BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain said his party will react to the ongoing speculation about government formation in Delhi only after Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung takes a final call on the issue. Manipur Governor VK Duggal tenders his resignation

New Delhi, Aug 29 (ANI): Manipur Governor VK Duggal tendered his resignation to President Pranab Mukherjee late Thursday night becoming the ninth governor to do so since the NDA government assumed office in May. Duggal was appointed as the governor of Manipur in December last year. After resigning from the post, Duggal said that the move has not come under pressure from anybody and said that he resigned on his own accord.
