New Delhi, Jan 23 (ANI): Politicos from various parties on Friday said that anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare was betrayed by his own people for personal agendas. Hazare, in a telephonic interview to a daily newspaper said that he would continue to fight for the Ombudsmen Bill alone and wondered why crusaders of Lokpal bill, or Ombudsman bill joined political parties. Hazare had launched India Against Corruption (IAC) and protested in the national capital for enactment of the Lokpal Bill. Delhi lawyers stage protest against Kiran Bedi

New Delhi, Jan 22 (ANI): Lawyers in Delhi staged a major protest on Thursday protesting against the selection of former IPS officer Kiran Bedi as the Bharatiya Janata Party's chief ministerial candidate in the national capital. The protesters demonstrated against Bedi by burning her effigy and raising slogans. According to reports, in the year 1988, Bedi, who was the Deputy Commissioner (North) then, ordered a lathi-charge on a group of Delhi Bar Association members who had gathered outside her office to protest against the handcuffing of one of their colleagues who was arrested on the charge of theft. It will have focused intervention and multi-sectoral action in 100 districts with low Child Sex Ratio.
