New Delhi, Mar 02 (ANI): The Congress party on Monday staged a walkout from the Parliament after its demand for Prime Minister's statement on JandK Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed's remark giving credit to separatists and Pak government to ensure successful polls. Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said that democracy of India runs with the people of India not with Pakistani government. Meanwhile, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu said that Opposition has every right to stage walkout, but government does not agree with JandK CM's statement. Govt will fulfill promises made to Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, says Venkaiah Naidu

Hyderabad, March 01 (ANI): Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday said that the central government will fulfill the promises that were made to Andhra Pradesh and Telengana. He added that it will be wrong to say that Andhra Pradesh did not get sufficient budget. He further said that considering both Finance Commission and Budget Allocation, Andhra Pradesh has got sufficient budget. Japanese delegation meets Venkaiah Naidu in New Delhi to boost business ties

New Delhi, Feb 27 (ANI): A Japanese delegation led by the chief executive officer (CEO) of Japanese multinational company Hitachi limited, Hiroaki Nakanishi, met Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu in New Delhi on Friday to boost business ties between the two nations. Speaking at the meet, Naidu thanked Japanese companies for helping India in executing various projects, including construction. He also boasted of India’s Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model and relaxation in Foreign Direct Index (FDI), a step taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central government. Singapore appoints special envoy to Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad, Feb 26 (ANI): Singapore government appointed senior policy strategist, Gopinath Pillai, as its special envoy to Andhra Pradesh to speed up construction of new capital of the state. Presently, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana share Hyderabad as joint capital. The appointment was announced by Singapore Foreign Minister K Shanmugam and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu during a news conference at the secretariat in capital Hyderabad on Thursday. The Singapore government will be presenting the first-phase of draft master plan of the new capital by June. Naidu said he was happy and content with the working style of Singapore government. He added that he respects the Opposition and had not intention to hurt anyone. The apology came after the Opposition threatened to disrupt proceedings in Parliament over Naidu's remarks. Shiv Sena boycotts NDA meeting, asks govt to rework on land acquisition bill

New Delhi, Feb 25 (ANI): After the opposition parties led by congress walked out of the Parliament in protest of government’s land acquisition bill, BJP ally Shiv Sena skipped a meeting of NDA government over the issue. Both Shiv Sena and the Akali Dal have termed the Government's controversial land bill “anti-farmer and against the interests of poor”. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said that the party has always worked in the interest of the farmers and will ask the BJP to review certain points in the bill. Meanwhile, central government hinted at diluting some of the provisions of the new land acquisition ordinance after meeting with its allies and amid growing protest on Tuesday.
