California, Feb 20 (ANI): In a landmark deal that places the world's largest social network closer to the heart of mobile communications, Facebook will buy fast-growing mobile-messaging startup WhatsApp for $19 billion in cash and stock. The transaction involves $4 billion in cash, $12 billion in stock and $3 billion in restricted stock that vests over several years. The WhatsApp deal is worth more than Facebook raised in its own IPO and underscores the social network's determination to win the market for messaging. Relief for expelled AAP MLA Binny, HC declares him independent legislator

New Delhi, Feb 19 (ANI): In a big relief to Delhi MLA and former AAP member Vinod Kumar Binny, the High Court on Wednesday declared him an independent legislator. This comes after Binny was expelled from Aam Aadmi Party and the Delhi Assembly Speaker MS Dhir had said that despite his expulsion from the party, he will have to follow the party whip in any transaction of business on the floor of the House. Binny in his petition has sought that he be declared as an independent legislator and also objected to the whips he was issued on February 12 and 13 to vote in favour of the party in the House.
