New Delhi, Feb 10 (ANI): Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday hoped that the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) would be able to live up to the expectations of the people and said the Centre would extend full support to the new government in Delhi. The AAP is inching closer to government formation in Delhi with the party leading in 65 seats. The BJP is ahead in four seats while the Congress is trailing in all the 70 assembly seats. Counting began at 8 a.m. and is taking place at 14 centres in nine districts of the national capital. A voter turnout of 67.08 percent was recorded in the polling for the 70-member Delhi Assembly. New Delhi, Feb 10 (ANI): Political leaders on Tuesday react on the early trends of the Delhi assembly polls. The Aam Aadmi Party appeared to be on its way to recapture power in the national capital with the party leading in 59 constituencies against 10 of BJP and Congress' one seat. AAP leader Sanjay Singh said that people of Delhi has called back the party and that they want those 49 days of government by AAP. BJP leader Shazia Ilmi said that winning is only half the game and that AAP will have to fulfill its promises too. Shahnawaz Hussain said that the party will rather wait for results than commenting. President Mukherjee hosts banquet for Singaporean counterpart in New Delhi

New Delhi, Feb 10 (ANI): President Pranab Mukherjee hosted banquet for Singapore President Tony Tan Keng Yam and his wife Mary Tan at the Presidential Palace in New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and various other dignitaries were present at the occasion. Tony Tan arrived in the national capital on Sunday on a four-day visit to commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Earlier in the day, the Singapore President was accorded with a ceremonial reception at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, where he met Mukherjee and Modi. Delhi all set with enthusiasm as counting begins for Assembly polls

New Delhi, Feb 10 (ANI): As the counting begins for Delhi assembly polls, political parties are seen all geared up anticipating their win. The stage is set for the formation of a government in the national capital as the election officials are all set on their duties at respective centres amid claims by the AAP and the BJP of getting a clear majority. The Election Commission has made elaborate arrangements for the counting of ballots, which will take place in 14 Centres across the city under tight security. A three-tier security will be in place at all the 14 counting centres. Entire process of counting will be video graphed. The results are to be announced by 1:00 PM. Other than security arrangements in Delhi, the city is witnessing great enthusiasm by the people and political parties.
