New Delhi, Nov 22 (ANI): The editor-in-chief of Tehelka Magazine Tarun Tejpal faced flak from activists and politicians on Friday following allegations that he sexually assaulted a female colleague. Tarun Tejpal, founder of the award-winning weekly magazine Tehelka - known for exposing corruption and human rights issues - confessed in a leaked email that "a bad lapse of judgement" and "an awful reading of the situation" had led to an "unfortunate incident". Even as managing editor of the magazine Shoma Chaudhary stated that she was setting up a committee for investigating the matter, Member of the National Commission for Women (NCW) Nirmala Samant Prabhavalkar said that Tehelka's response to the case has been disappointing and setting up an internal probe committee under pressure is too late a step. Meanwhile, a BJP leader Nalin Kohli said questioned Tejpal's arrangement of stepping aside from his editorship for six months as penance. Nov 22, 2013
