Constable shoots wife dead, attempts suicide in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, July 25 (ANI): A police constable allegedly shot dead his wife near the gate of a Government Multi-specialty Hospital in Chandigarh on Friday, before turning the gun on himself. The constable reportedly fired seven rounds at his wife who was an employee at the hospital. She died on the spot. Later, he tried to commit suicide but survived. BSF says will retaliate if Pak continues to violate ceasefire

Jammu, July 18 (ANI): India___s paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) said that it would retaliate to the latest ceasefire violation along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir if Pakistan Rangers violated the ceasefire again. On Wednesday, one Border Security Force (BSF) personnel was killed and three BSF personnel were injured in cross-border firing in Jammu and Kashmir. Following the incident, the Director General of BSF, DK Pathak, went to inspect the area along with his convoy and said the situation is presently under control.The BSF personnel reportedly died of a bullet injury to his shoulder. Now it___s time to take corrective actions, fare revision was one such step. He added that there is need to FDI except Railway operations, need to have Private Public Partnership to improve Railways. There is also need to explore new opportunities and to involve private funding in infrastructure development. He proposed WiFi systems on all A1 category stations, retiring rooms on all stations, bullet trains for which Mumbai-Ahmedabad sector has been identified.
