Rakhis with Modis pictures sell like hotcakes in Ludhiana

Ludhiana, Aug 09 (ANI): With just one day left for Rakshabandhan, sacred threads displaying miniature pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi gain popularity and sell like hot cakes in Punjab. Women and young girls in Ludhiana city thronged shops selling sacred threads known as 'rakhis' that are available in different colours and varieties. The rakhis showing Modi waving his left hand and a small lotus in the background are gaining popularity, a sure sign that after winning the elections this year, he is much in demand. According to a buyer, the immense faith people have in Modi is the reason behind the skyrocketing sales of Modi rakhis. Aug 9, 2014
