Political leaders condemn Sukma Encounter which claim lives of 13 CRPF personnel

New Delhi/ Raipur, Dec 02 (ANI): Political leaders on Monday condemned encounter in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh by Maoist militants which killed at least 13 CRPF personnel. State Home Minister Ram Sewak Paikra said that the dead bodies of the jawans will be brought to Raipur today and further operation ill continue. UGC member alleges interference by HRD Ministry, Reactions flow

New Delhi, Nov 27 (ANI): Member of University Grants Commission (UGC), MM Ansari alleged excessive interference by the education ministry in the activities of the body. These statements come at a time when Education Ministry decided to drop German language in favour of Sanskrit for over 70,000 students across 500 Kendriya Vidyalayas (Central Schools) from classes VI to VIII. BJP leader GVL Narasimha Rao said Ansari was making such statements on behalf of the Congress party. SP leader Naresh Agarwal defended the Education Minister, Smriti Irani and said she was just doing her duty. Congress leader Deepender Singh Hooda said these allegations by the UGC member should be looked into seriously. Law and order has to be maintained in Hisar: BS Hooda on Sant Rampal

New Delhi, Nov 19 (ANI): Speaking over the self-styled godman Sant Rampal row former Haryana Chief Minister and Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Wednesday said that law and order has to be maintained in Hisar. He added that the government and Sant Rampal supporters need to solve the matter so that there is no further tension. The situation is still tense in Hisar as the controversial Sant Rampal continues to evade law and defy Haryana and Punjab High Court and police orders to surrender. The Haryana Police, which yesterday failed to arrest Rampal and produce him before the state high court after more than six hour of concerted action and violent clashes with the godman's supporters which left scores injured, will make another attempt today to arrest him. Sant Rampal's ashram in Hisar turned into a war zone on Tuesday when hundreds of policemen and Rampal's followers fought a pitched battle, as the police tried to enter the ashram to arrest the godman.
