Politicos slam Ashok Singhal over his 'Islamic terrorism' remark

New Delhi, Dec 21 (ANI): Political leaders on Sunday slammed VHP Leader Ashok Singhal over his 'Islamic terrorism' remark. Singhal had said that the danger of 'Islamic terrorism' can be seen in Europe and can wage a war in other parts of the world too. Referring to the BJP government, he said Hindus have come back to power in Delhi after Rajput King Prithviraj Chauhan lost it in the 12th century. Eco friendly products mesmerize visitors at Kerala Bamboo Fest in Kochi

Kochi, Dec 07 (ANI): Visitors made a beeline towards the makeshift tents of the 11th edition of the annual 'Kerala Bamboo Fest' which displayed artisans' innovativeness while propagating the use of the 'green wood' in Kochi. Craftsmen from various Indian states arrived in the five-day bamboo festival to propagate the use of bamboo and bamboo-made products in order to spread awareness regarding the use of eco friendly products in daily life. Managing Director of Kerala State Bamboo Co-operation, T Sukumaran Nair, said that the fest aims to make eco-friendly things and prevent deforestation. The annual event is being organised by the Kerala State Bamboo Mission. The fest displays various artifacts and furniture made of pure and treated bamboo and wall mounting art works which are also on sale. Dec 7, 2014

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis pays tribute to Dr BR Ambedkar on his death anniversary

Mumbai, Dec 06 (ANI): Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis along with his cabinet ministers paid tribute to Bharat Ratna Babasahib Dr BR Ambedkar at Shivaji Park in Mumbai. Fadnavis offered flowers and lit candles in front of Ambedkar's statue on his 'Mahaparinirvana Diwas'. He also acknowledged Dr Ambedkar's work to uplift the backward and downtrodden in independent India.
